Some of my strengths were taking the photos at the angle I desired. However, a weakness I had was getting the focus how I wanted. I also had trouble with getting a clear and not grainy photo. I (obviously) used leading lines along with rule of thirds. My favorite part of the assignment was having to choose a theme because it made the project more personal. However, with this came restrictions. My series is about the (outside of the) house I have grown up in. I picked this because I have lived in this house my entire life yet in a few months I will be off at college living in a new place. I like how the pictures show that my house has grown up right along with me, as you can tell from the chipped paint and broken monkey bars. The lines represent me moving forward with my life as the trees in my background show that I will only go up and do greater things. For my next series project, I will try and take more pictures so that I have more options; I feel like I was limited with the pictures I took.
