What I found challenging about this project was finding the right time to shoot. I did a lot of cool things in Arizona, and saw many photo ops, but I did not have my camera with me at all those times because it's kind of a pain to carry around. With that being said, I had to schedule when I was going to bring my camera to take pictures, which was when we were just laying around by the pool mostly. Shooting in documentary was sort of the same approach I used for the identity project. I documented my sister's identity as an artist and took both candid and posed pictures of her throughout a typical day. For the actual documentary project, I pretty much did the same thing and took both candid and posed pictures of my friends and our surroundings on our trip to Arizona. I prefer candid pictures because I love the aesthetic of more natural photography and what captures natural more than a candid photo? As evident in this project, I believe I got better at understanding and adjusting camera settings.

I didn't like how the edit on Claire looked- it was too grey. I left it and just cropped most of the background out instead!
